I pray for some PEACE in this world.
Enough killings of the innocent people in this world especially women and children.

I'm just praying for some peace.......not just for me but for the whole wide world. We share this world. It belongs to ALL OF US!!!!!
What a week I must say. Over the weekend, my son and I was down with fever only to find out later that we've been diagnosed with HFMD. Yes, it's going around now and it doesn't only attack children but in some cases adult. Another challenge that ALLAH has given me. Funny how my daughter and hubby is not effected. I have no idea where we got it from. When I checked out their pre-school, so far there's no cases. So yeah..It's in the air. That's what the doctor said.
I managed to see my lung specialist for my every 2 months medical check up. I have to postpone my oncologist appointment for this Friday to next week. I'm not taking any risk exposing this virus to cancer patients even though by then I should be fine and recovered. It takes 3-7 days to recover. One thing I can tell you.....it's painful. For an adult to go through this and feeling the pain...just imagine a child going through it. The sore throat, the itch, the blisters on your palms and feet...you can't walk properly or even grip your fork and spoons.
Or you can imagine this:
You just got your self a brand new shoes that you bought in BATA (Hehehe..I don't do branded shoes so can't think of a name). So you wear it for the first time. Then you get blisters near the heels or the front toes etc. You don't have a choice but to walk in that for the next 5 hours. It's painful isn't? Well, that's how the pain feels on your palms and feet/sole? You have to wash your hands often but it's also painful when the water hits the blisters. So what do you do? Bear with it. There's no medication for it. It will go away. It's more worrying to the children than the adult.
So there....life goes on. Quarantined for another few more days before I get to go out again. My kids will be banned from pre school till next week even though only my son has it. But still, we need some precaution besides my daughter still have that nasty cough.
The news this week hasn't been good either. There is still war in Middle East where children, woman, men dies everyday being killed and bombed by the Israelis. I'm not going to say how stupid it is because it's beyond that already.
In our country, we read the news about a son who killed his mother because of drug overdose. Then, the shocking news on an actor/producer/TV host who passed away of heart attack. It is ALL a reminder to us that ALLAH is MIGHTY great. It will happen whether you are ready or not. Some do get warning signs and some don't. Al-Fatihah.

I am so broke now. Last week I bought my son his mini fish aquarium. He has been bugging us to buy him that ever since we took him to Aquaria couple of weeks back. We promised him that we'll get him one for his birthday present next month.
However last week after taking my eldest nephew for lunch (he was on a short break and finally got his driver's license), I dragged him to the pet shop near by my parent's house. I saw a nice mini fish aquarium that also comes with a cabinet. The price was not too bad either. And the color of the cabinet fits the color of my kitchen. It will look perfect at my dry kitchen. Heck, why not! I know my son's 
birthday is next month and there's no harm buying it early. Well I did. At the same time I end up shopping for all sorts of fish for my son too.
When I brought the whole aquarium home, my kids were excited. In fact both hubby and I got excited. We have a cat at home and now fish aquarium.
After a while, we realized that having a fish aquarium is quite therapeutic. Hubby got excited by buying more exotic creatures and I got my son a lobster. The kids would race down stairs in the morning to my dry kitchen and get mesmerized by watching the fishes swim. Sometimes when the kids 
are asleep at night, hubby and I would sneak out from the bedroom quietly and walk down the stairs to watch the fishes swim. We would spend 15 to 20 minutes getting ourselves mesmerized with the lobsters and shrimps swimming along side with the other fishes. Nice, real nice and therapeutic. It's worth it though I'm so broke now.
Sometimes, we would talk to the fish and the lobster just for the fun of it. I know it sounds so pathetic. Sad case eh? Since we only have one lobster, we gave him a name. We named him Ben. Don't ask me why because it was my husband's idea.
Ah well, at least that will keep everyone in the family happy. Nothing can beat the smile on a child's face. It's priceless.
Then we have the Israelis attacking Lebanon. This are news that should be in the front page of our newspapers today and not about the so called soon to be fairy tale wedding of the year for the so called no.1 singer in the country and Datuk K. *sigh*
Gosh, this is so pathetic. Where is the priority?
I went out for dinner tonight and what I saw in the newspaper is so sad. Only the Chinese newspaper highlighted on the Tsunami story in detail. While the rest has pictures of the two love birds. *double sigh* *eyes rolling* What's this-lah?
